Down on the farm.

March 27, 2009

We spent the day at our friend’s beautiful little farm on Monday. Ruby helped us transplant lettuces, and ate plenty a dirt sandwich. Her favorite part was building with the little rocks on the rock path. We can’t wait to go back and help out again.

Thanks, Will, for letting us hang out on your farm all day!

Playing Catch up…

March 20, 2009

So much happened in February, and I just couldn’t keep up! So, now that it’s mid-March I thought I’d try to do a little recap.

First, Nana and Pops came to visit on Valentine’s Day Weekend. Ruby had so much fun reading books with Pops and showing Nana all of her toys.

Then, we went on vacation to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico! Uncle Kenny and Aunt Emily were there, and so were the Canipellis, and Ashley and Cullen. It was an amazing trip. The house was just beautiful, and the beach was just a few steps from our back door. We explored the Aktun Chen underground cave systems, and walked through the town of Akumal. We snorkeled in the bay, which was just steps from our door! The best part was just relaxing on the beach and soaking up the sun. We hope to do another big trip next year, because it was just so much fun!

And, the final news. Ruby is going to be a big sister!! Although most of you know already, I’ve been hesitant to post it on the blog because it was so early. I’ve been really sick, but am finally starting to feel better as I begin the second trimester. Even though I’ve lost a bit of weight from throwing up all day long, my belly is starting to grow! I am anxious and excited to experience pregnancy again, and will be sure to keep updating as much as I can!

Ruby has her big hand surgery on Thursday, April 9, which is approaching so quickly. Please, keep her in your thoughts and wish her a successful procedure and quick recovery. She’ll be in a boxer glove cast for 4-6 weeks, so I’ll be sure to let you all know how many bruises Brian and I have by the end!! We are extremely excited for the outcome, but are overwhelmed and scared about the actual surgery. We’re trying our best to keep our heads up!!
